Attorney Roan Evans has been awarded with the Louisiana National Guard Cross of Merit for exceptionally meritorious service and actions during the investigation of the Black Hawk accident that occurred in Florida this March.
On March 10, 2015 a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed along the Florida coast during a routine training exercise. The eleven members of the flight crew were killed. The Louisiana National Guard and the U.S. Special Operations Command handled the investigation.
Evans, a Captain in Louisiana National Guard, and personal injury attorney at the Glenn Armentor Law Corporation, was assigned to assist the investigating officers as legal counsel.
Roan said, "I was honored to be able to provide my legal guidance and my services to the investigation team, the State of Louisiana and the United States."
The Evans family was in attendance as State Judge Advocate Colonel John Dunlap presented the award to honor Roan's assistance as legal counsel,
exceptional legal advice, outstanding dedication and selfless service during the investigation.
