C. Roan
Evans is originally from the small town of New Iberia.
He left his home town and state to attend Millsaps
College in Jackson, Mississippi
where he received a Bachelors Degree in English. He stayed in Jackson to attend Mississippi College School
of Law. He studied Louisiana Civil Law and received his Juris Doctorate in 2002.
Upon his
return, he began a solo private practice in New Iberia.
His practice concentrated on criminal defense and domestic
litigation. He served as a public
defender for Iberia Parish where he handled district felonies, misdemeanors and
city court dockets.
In 2006, he
moved his small practice to Lafayette
and continued to have a general practice while working as a Lafayette Parish
public defender. However, his goal was
to develop a practice specializing in personal injury, workers’ compensation,
offshore accidents, premises liability and other cases involving trauma to the
body.
In December
2007, Roan fulfilled a life long dream of service and received a direct commission
from the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant in the Louisiana Army National
Guard. He attended his officer basic
course at the U.S. Army
Judge Advocate General
Legal Center
and School in Charlottesville, Virginia
and continued on to graduate from the Army’s Direct Commission Course at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Upon returning to Lafayette, he was assigned as a Judge
Advocate for the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. He deployed and served with his unit in New Orleans during
Hurricane Gustav and Ike. He continues to devote his extra time to the National
Guard and his community.
He took a
great opportunity to serve his community and expand his area of practice when
he joined the Glenn Armentor Law
Corporation in October 2008. His area of
practice is centered on helping workers who are injured on the job to receive
the benefits they need to care for themselves and their families. Besides workers compensation, Roan’s practice
presently includes all other types of personal injury including workers’ compensation,
offshore accidents, premises liability and other cases involving trauma to the
body.
Roan is married to Lindsy and has a
step-daughter, Megan. They are currently
expecting a child of their own.
